# Rules

## Client Modifications

We do **not** allow the use of hacked clients or third-party modifications that tamper with system files. Using such mods even with good intentions can break your game and give you an unfair advantage.

### Permitted Mods:

**Performance Mods**: Mods like *Optifine* that improve FPS but don’t alter mechanics.\
**Brightness/Gamma Adjustments**: Legal for visibility.\
**Cosmetic & HUD Tweaks**: Custom visuals are fine, but:

* No mini-maps with player/entity info
* No health, armor, or range indicators\
  **Shaders**: Allowed if they only affect visuals.
* No transparency or x-ray shaders\
  **Replay Mods**: Recording tools like ReplayMod are fine.\
  **Client Launchers**: Clients like *Badlion* or *Lunar* are okay as long as they don’t include banned features. You're responsible for staying compliant.

## General Gameplay Rules

Our goal is to provide a fun, fair, and inclusive community.

### Not Allowed:

* Creating **lag machines** or intentionally crashing the server
* Using **hacks, exploits**, or duplicating items
* Using **alt accounts** to gain an unfair advantage (e.g. PvP farming, botting, etc.)

### Impersonation

You may not impersonate other users, staff, or public figures.

#### Not Allowed:

* Pretending to be YouTubers, celebrities, or Cast staff
* Sharing false info while impersonating others

### Real World Trading

Trading in-game items, currency, or ranks for real-world money or services is strictly prohibited.

#### Not Allowed:

* Selling kits, keys, cosmetics, or accounts
* Trading in-game ranks for cash or items
* Sharing/selling Minecraft accounts

## Chat Rules

#### Threats & Harassment

Threatening others in any form is not tolerated.

#### Not Allowed:

* Doxxing, DDoS threats
* Blackmail or IP exposure
* Threats of physical harm or stalking

#### Chat Spamming

Spamming disrupts gameplay and is not allowed.

#### Not Allowed:

* Repeating messages or emojis
* Excessive caps
* Flooding the chat intentionally

#### Inappropriate Names & Content

Cast is a family-friendly server.

#### Not Allowed:

* Inappropriate or explicit chat, builds, item names
* Discussing sensitive topics like suicide or self-harm
* Political or controversial debates
* Profanity or hate speech

#### Encouraging Rule-Breaking

Do not encourage others to break the rules.

#### Not Allowed:

* Promoting griefing, hacks, or exploits
* Suggesting ways to cheat or duplicate

#### Advertising

Only official Cast-related content may be advertised.

#### Not Allowed:

* Sharing links to other servers, websites, or Discords
* Promoting personal social media or giveaways

#### Toxicity & Harassment

Cast has a zero-tolerance policy for toxic behavior. Keep banter respectful—harassment is never acceptable.

#### Not Allowed:

* Trolling or spamming TP requests
* Offensive language or abuse
* Malicious links or targeted insults
* Harassment based on identity or background

### Personal Information

Protect your data and respect others’ privacy.

#### Not Allowed:

* Sharing your or someone else’s personal info (name, age, school, IP)
* Sharing accounts or login credentials
* Remember: **You are responsible for your account’s actions.**
